editing posts

can anyone tell me how to edit a previosu post? please help asap

Edit: hey this is pretty neat. I can go back and make it look like I posted something when I acutally didnt.

  • You go into "create post" - there are two tabs only, one "new post" the other is "edit post". At the "edit post screen you will find two core functionalities, one being that you can simple delete a post, at any time, the other being the button that says "edit" - this opens the original text, do your edits, preview, and publish, as you would with a normal post. Don't forget that you may need to do a screen "refresh" to see the new post.

FYI. I guess someone has already filled you in by now...

  • Margo - just additional & minor points:

under "edit posts" tab, which is accessed via the normal "new posts" function, you get a list of your posts, by title. There is a selection box along the top of this list that allows you to change how many of your posts appear in the list, the default is five. This doesn't mean you can't access older posts to delete or amend; it just means you need to select a differnt number in the pull down list of number options, anything up to a few hundred. You would then need to refresh.

The edit box sits on the left side of the post's title, and is easy to find. The delete button is at the end of the row, on the right hand side.

  • Thank you caz you have saved me from an embarasing problem.

That's the thing about having 1000s of editors and technicalists and managers for Webdiary, actually having them do something for the weblog. I originally assigned blogger units Charlie and Echo to the post that needed fixing, but they were all to busy.
